Feasibility Study for the Production of Ethanol and other Biofuels in El Salvador

This document consists of Module II, which concludes the Feasibility Study for the Production
of Ethanol and other Biofuels in El Salvador. For such, it is based on the pre feasibility analysis
resulting from Module I and is determined by the discerning combination of different agronomic
variables that condition the suitability of the land (or agricultural suitability) for each considered
crop. The objective of this Module is to recommend investments, associated also to logistical
aspects, energy matrix, location of sugar mills and available technologies.

The results of the analyses enabled the confirmation of the obtained information and the definition of the strategic regions for the directing of investments, covering the following points:

 Agricultural analysis;
 Industrial Analysis;
 Analysis of legal, environmental and social aspects, and
 Technical-economic analysis.
